WILD OHIO PEREGRINE FALCON WATCH

Efforts by organizations like the Ohio Division of Wildlife have resulted in the peregrine falcon being removed from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s federal endangered species list. The Midwest population has recovered and expanded, and so the birds are soaring high in Ohio’s skies.

The Division of Wildlife in Ohio actively monitors approximately 24 territorial pairs around the state.

Falcons sometimes look like hawks - here’s how to tell the difference.

Learn how we get video of the birds and see the view from the nest!

Our peregrines fly great distances from where they are hatched. See how far they go.
