FREE STEELHEAD TROUT SEMINAR TO BE HELD IN GEAUGA COUNTY
Seminar will be hosted by Punderson Resort Lodge in Newbury
AKRON, OH – The ODNR Division of Wildlife in cooperation with Ohio Sea Grant will be offering a free steelhead seminar at Punderson State Park on Thursday, January 24th, 2008. The seminar will take place from 6pm to 9pm.

Ohio Sea Grant Fisheries Program Coordinator Kelly Riesen will share her expertise in steelhead biology and the success of the Division of Wildlife’s steelhead stocking program. Furthermore, Kelly will instruct participants on where, when, and how to catch steelhead in local Ohio Lake Erie tributary streams using spin fishing gear.
Retired Division of Wildlife Fisheries Biologist Vince LaConte will give up some secrets to catching steelhead with fly fishing gear and proper apparel to wear to keep warm in the rivers.
Division of Wildlife Communication Specialist Jamey Graham will give an overview of web-based steelhead resources and finding information regarding steelhead fishing in Ohio.
