In western Ohio along the, Miami & Erie Canal
   Listed from north to south

• Mary Jane Thurston State Park (Remnants of the old canal.)
• Independence Dam State Park (Seven miles of historic canal between St. Rt. 424 and the park. Ruins of Lock Number Thirteen and a three-mile towpath hiking trail)
• Grand Lake St. Marys State Parks (Tow-path trail)
  At one time this lake was the world's largest man-made lake.
• Indian Lake (Feeder lake for canal)
• Lake Loramie State park (Towpath trail)
• Piqua Historical Area State Memorial (Ride the 70 foot-long replica of the General Harrison canal boat)

In eastern Ohio along the Ohio & Erie Canal

• Portage Lake State Park (Watered remnants of the canal in Akron)
• Guilford Lak State Park (Feeder lake for canal)
