Ohio's Boater Education Law:

Persons born on or after January 1, 1982, who operate a boat powered by greater than 10 horsepower must successfully pass a NASBLA-approved boating education course or proficiency exam.

Canadian Boating Laws for Visitors - Canada now has an education requirement for operators of motorized boats. It applies to visitors who bring their own boat and stay for 45 days or more, or anyone who operates a motorized boat licensed in Canada. Know the law before you travel there.
