What we do…

  • Treat and remove invasive species such as Tree of Heaven and Bush Honeysuckle which suppress Ohio’s native understory…
  • Assist with timber stand improvement projects and inventorying state forest lands…
  • Bridle, hiking and APV trail maintenance and construction…

  • Hocking State Forest (Hocking County)
  • Blue Rock State Forest (Muskingum County)
  • Maumee State Forest (Fulton County)                   
  • Pike State Forest (Pike County)           
  • Scioto Trail State Forest (Ross County)              
  • Shawnee State Forest (Scioto County)                  
  • Zaleski State Forest (Vinton County)  

These positions are of an intermittent appointment type, meaning that they are unclassified, non-benefits earning (with the exception of workers’ compensation and Ohio Public Employment Retirement System membership) and are for 1000 hours.
