Ohio Department of Natural Resources - Get Fit Naturally

Get Fit Naturally

Whether it's hiking on a wooded trail, swimming on a sunny beach, ice skating on a frozen lake or biking on a picturesque path, Ohio’s Department of Natural Resources offers numerous inexpensive ways to get fit - and stay fit - naturally.

As the new year rings in, citizens statewide will pledge to make physical health a top priority. Scrapping a sedentary lifestyle and committing to regular physical activity, such as walking, running and biking, is known to have substantial health benefits. Ohio State Parks offer numerous accessible areas where Ohioans can take part in many forms of recreation and exercise that will help them reach their goals.

As ODNR celebrates its 60-year anniversary in 2009, we are encouraging all Ohioans to get outside and enjoy the endless benefits of all of our natural resources. While no membership is needed at any of ODNR’s facilities, an adventurous attitude is required.

This site is a complete guide detailing all of the resources that are available to get fit naturally all year long.
