Park
Visit Little Miami State Park to hike. There are several staging areas and trail access points along the 50 mile paved trail, so you can bicycle, skate or walk as far as you want.
Nature Preserve
Caesar Creek State Nature Preserve, adjacent to the state park offers some of the most scenic hiking trails in the area.
Scenic River
The Little Miami, Ohio’s first designated scenic river, provides great scenery and a wide variety of things to do along the Little Miami State Park corridor.
There are also numerous river access points and canoe liveries for an unforgettable paddling trip down the Little Miami.
Wildlife Area
The Spring Valley Wildlife Area offers a variety of meadow, marsh and forest habitats and is known as one of the best bird watching areas in southwestern Ohio.
Beaver Creek Wildlife Area is very popular with bird watchers, and nature enthusiasts as its unique habitat is a great place to see migrating birds in the fall. The handicap accessible boardwalk and the observation tower are great places to observe unusual wildflowers, such as Canada burnet and queen-of-the-prairie.
About 30 miles from Caesar Creek lay Ohio’s best bobwhite quail territory at Indian Creek Wildlife Area. It features a boardwalk trail and wildlife observation tower over the marsh. It also offers archery and shooting ranges.

Shawnee State Forest, also called "The Little Smokies of Ohio," has developed into the largest of the 20 state forests, with over 60,000 acres and is also a working forest. |
