There are a variety of groups that have formed to support their local Ohio State Park.  These include friends groups, volunteer groups and support groups.  These groups organize special events to raise funds for state park improvement projects, such as shelter houses, nature centers, playgrounds, etc.

A statewide group, the Friends for the Preservation of Ohio State Parks (FPOSP), serves as an umbrella organization for the individual state park friends groups.  More information can be found at www.fposp.org
