Family Cottages sleep up to 6 with 2 private bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. The floorplan includes a full-equipped kitchen, furnished living room, bathroom with shower, and screened porch.

Preferred Cottages have all the features of family cottages and also offer gas log fireplaces, and VCRs and/or DVD players.
Basic Cottages feature semi-private sleeping facilities

- Standard cottages are heated, and are available spring, summer and fall
- Some locations provide bed, bath and kitchen linens as well as dishes and cookware

Accessible Cottages offer special accessible features including entrance ramps, wider thresholds, kitchen and bathroom fixtures that allow extra room to maneuver a wheelchair.
- Dillon and Lake Hope in southeast Ohio and Buck Creek in southwest Ohio offer a limited number of accessible cottages with special features throughout, including modified kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures
- Select cottages at the resort parks, including Deer Creek, Hueston Woods, Shawnee and Maumee Bay, along with Burr Oak in southeast Ohio, have been modified for accessibility, with wider entrances along with kitchen and restroom facilities with appliances and fixtures that are convenient for persons with impaired mobility
- Some of the cottages at Deer Creek, Mohican, Punderson and Salt Fork have ramps for easier entry, but do not offer accessible features inside
- The numbers of accessible cottage units are limited, and the accessible features they offer may vary
Pet-Friendly Cottages are offered at the following state parks: Buck Creek, Burr Oak, Cowan Lake, Dillon, Hueston Woods, Hocking Hills, Lake Hope, Maumee Bay, Mohican, Pike Lake, Punderson, Pymatuning, Salt Fork and Shawnee
- Pets are welcome in select cottages
- Pets are welcome on most nature trails
- Please keep pets on a leash when outdoors
Woodburner Cottages are offered at Lake Hope. Most woodburner cottages have two bedrooms and sleep four. Six three-bedroom cottages sleep up to eight. The floorplan includes a fully-equipped kitchen, furnished living room, and bathroom with shower.

What You Should Know
- Reservations may be made up to one year in advance, and a deposit is required
- Minimum stays may apply:
- 2-day stay is required on weekends at most locations
- Week-long stays may be required at some locations during the summer months
- Rates charged are the rates applicable at the time of arrival and are subject to change without notice
- Cottage guests at resort locations (Burr Oak, Deer Creek, Hueston Woods, Maumee Bay, Punderson, Salt Fork, Shawnee) may use the lodge pools and fitness rooms free of charge
- Mohican's cottage guests may use the outdoor pool in the campground/cottage area free of charge
- Premium cottages at Cowan Lake also have telephones
- Premium cottage at Pymatuning offers several extras including two gas fireplaces, a hot tub, Florida room and dishwasher
- Most cottages are smoke-free, per state law
