Resort lodges

  • Special guest rooms are available with wider doorways and restrooms designed to accommodate wheelchairs. In some of the lodges, the accessible rooms are located on the ground floor, and in others, an elevator provides access to the guest rooms as well as other lodge facilities including the dining rooms and indoor pools.
  • Elevators and accessible guest rooms are at the following lodges:  Maumee Bay (NW) • Hueston Woods (SW) • Deer Creek (C) • Salt Fork (SE) • Shawnee (SE)
  • The elevator at Punderson Manor in northeast Ohio provides access to meeting rooms as well as the accessible indoor swimming pool. Maumee Bay and Salt Fork also offer accessible indoor pools in addition to accessible whirlpools

  • Dillon (SE), Lake Hope (SE), and Buck Creek (SW) offer a limited number of accessible cottages with special features throughout, including modified kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures
  • Two of the Deluxe Cedar Cabins at Geneva in northeast Ohio offer accessible features
  • Select cottages at Burr Oak (SE), Deer Creek (C), Hueston Woods (SW), Shawnee (SE), and Maumee Bay (NW) have been modified for accessibility, with wider entrances along with kitchen and restroom facilities with appliances and fixtures that are convenient for persons using a wheelchair.
  • Some of the cottages at Salt Fork, Punderson and Deer Creek have ramps for easier entry, but do not offer accessible features inside.

The numbers of accessible lodge and cottage units are limited, and the accessible features they offer may vary.

Campsites with accessible features that may include extra wide paved pads on level grades, berms, modified picnic tables, fire rings and/or grills, or water fountains, and may be close to restroom buildings with entrance ramps, accessible fixtures, grab bars and wide stalls are offered at :
