ODNR RECYCLING CHIEF NAMED CHAIR OF NATIONAL RECYCLING COALITION

COLUMBUS, OH – The National Recycling Coalition (NRC) recently elected the chief of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention to serve as chair of its board of directors.

Ronald L. Kolbash, of Canal Winchester, was selected in August during the 23rd Annual NRC Congress & Exposition in San Francisco, and will serve in the position for a term of one year. As chair, Kolbash is working with businesses, governments and individuals in shaping policy to strengthen recycling markets and enhance economic development.

The National Recycling Coalition is a non-profit organization made up of 4,500 recycling and environmental groups from around the country. Founded in 1978, the Washington D.C.-based coalition is committed to a common goal of maximizing recycling to achieve the benefits of resource conservation, reduction in solid waste, protection of our natural resources and economic development.

Kolbash has been employed by ODNR since 1999.  He is also a part-time faculty member at Hocking College in Nelsonville and Ohio University in Lancaster.
