COLUMBUS, OH -- Larry Cooper of Westerville was recently named 2004 Employee Of The Year by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention. Cooper coordinates recycling programs for Ohio’s state agencies and institutions.
“I am proud of Larry’s accomplishments,” said Ron Kolbash, chief of the ODNR Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention. “His talent and enthusiasm for establishing sustainable recycling programs for the state’s government agencies, as well as colleges and universities, has benefited the division and its customers.”
An 18-year employee of ODNR, Cooper was the division’s Outstanding New Employee in 1986. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Kent State University. He and wife, Deneice, have two children, Amanda and Jenna.
The ODNR Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention is responsible for implementing statewide waste reduction, recycling, recycling market development and litter prevention programs. In addition, the division assists in implementing Ohio's Solid Waste Management Plan and encourages Ohioans to reduce waste, recycle materials and buy recycled-content products.
