COLUMBUS, OH -- East Columbus resident Beverly C. Huggins has been promoted to the position of assistant registration and titling manager for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft.
In her new position, Huggins will assist in planning and coordinating statewide watercraft registration and titling programs.
Huggins is a graduate of the MATA School of Automation in Columbus and attended Cortez Peters Business College in Washington D.C. She began her public service career in 1969 as a keypunch operator with the Ohio Department of Taxation. She joined ODNR in 1983 and has worked as a data entry operator and watercraft records specialist.
The ODNR Division of Watercraft administers Ohios boating programs, including watercraft registration and titling operations, and provides grants to local communities for enforcement, education and boating access facilities. The division investigates boating accidents and related fatalities, and enforces state boating laws. These and other Division of Watercraft programs are funded through a portion of the state gasoline sales tax in addition to boat registration and titling fees.
