MORE THAN $2.2 MILLION IN GRANTS AWARDED
TO STRENGTHEN BUSINESS RECYCLING EFFORTS
COLUMBUS, OH More than $2.2 million in Market Development Grants have been awarded by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention to help increase the amount of recycled materials used in the manufacturing and processing operations.
Fifteen solid waste management districts, authorities and county governments as well as their cooperating businesses received a total of $2,275,000 in grants.
"By strengthening long-term markets for recycled materials and Ohio-made products, these grants are helping create jobs," said ODNR Director Sam Speck. "It's a win-win situation that benefits Ohio's economy as well as our environment."
The Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention has awarded more than $12.8 million in Market Development Grants since 1994.
