MT. STERLING, OH - Conveniently situated in southwest Ohio about one hour’s drive from Columbus, Cincinnati or Dayton, the 18-hole championship golf course at Deer Creek State Park in Pickaway County offers superb conditions and easy accessibility.

“Golfers like the excellent conditions of our fairways and greens,” said Sonya Lindsey, pro shop manager. “All grades of players, from novices to the very experienced, can score here.”

Built in 1983, the par-72 course features mature trees, 52 sand traps and 10 well-placed water obstacles amid a slightly rolling layout. Greens are perfect and smooth, and designed to bring out the best in a golfer’s game. Several extra-long holes create added challenge. Signature hole is the number 3, a short par-3 into the woods that is a favorite with players of all skill levels. Lindsey said the practice area, including putting greens and a driving range, is another popular feature of the course.

“Overall, our customers find our course a great value compared to similar facilities in the area,” Lindsey added.
