VIEW THE STARS AT MALABAR FARM STATE PARK
Monthly “Star Parties” offer opportunity to learn about astronomy

COLUMBUS, OH - Come and see the stars at Malabar Farm State Park. On the third Saturday of each month now through November, the park will host “Star Parties” - an opportunity to view the sky and learn about the solar system. The first party takes place Saturday, March 19.

The “parties” are hosted by Malabar Farm State Park along with the Richland County group Astronomy For Youth, Inc., which is providing the telescopes and other sky viewing information.

Individuals interested should meet at the park’s day-use horsemen’s area parking lot, located off of Bromfield Road. The programs run from dusk until 11 p.m., weather permitting. Malabar Farm is the former home of Pulitzer Prize winning novelist and noted conservationist Louis Bromfield. The park hosts a variety of events and programs throughout the year. For more information contact the park office at 419-892-2784 or visit the park’s website.
