COLUMBUS, OH - Visitors to Paint Creek State Park this weekend are encouraged to “Get Fit Naturally” by participating in walk, run or biking events, beginning at noon on Saturday, July 16. Activities are open to people of all ages.
The “Get Fit Naturally” program allows visitors to participate in a variety of fitness activities while enjoying some of Ohio’s most beautiful natural scenery. The local Spokejunkies bike club is hosting the event.
In addition to promoting physical fitness in a fun atmosphere, “Get Fit Naturally” is a program that entire families can participate in together.
“Ohio State Parks are the perfect recreational venues for families,” said Dan West, chief of Ohio State Parks. “And with the ‘Get Fit Naturally’ program we can encourage adults, teens and youngsters to have fun together and improve their physical fitness.”
Those interested in attending should go to the park’s mountain bike trail area, which is located north of U.S. Route 50 on Taylor Road. Take Rapid Forge Road to Taylor Road and go west a short distance to the parking lot. More information is available online at www.ombc.net .
