SOUTHEAST COLUMBUS RESIDENT TO HEAD INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICE AT OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES

COLUMBUS, OH - Southeast Columbus resident Cecelia A. McFadden was recently named chief of the Office of Information Technology at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). McFadden assumes her new duties on July 30.
 
As chief of information technology, McFadden will oversee the department's computers and communications networks, including data processing, telecommunications, information resources and computer applications. She will also act as the department's liaison with the Ohio Data Network, MARCS radio and other local, state and federal agencies charged with radio communication.
 
"I am pleased that Cecelia McFadden has joined our senior staff," said Sean D. Logan, ODNR director. "Her background in both the private and public sectors will help the agency stay abreast of new developments in the fast-moving field of information technology."
 
McFadden was previously involved in technology services at Nationwide Insurance and Veritas Software Corporation. She has also been a senior project manager for the City of Columbus and assistant director of the National Data Evaluation Center at The Ohio State University.
 
She holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and computer science from The Ohio State University and a master's degree in information systems management from the University of Phoenix.
