SOUTHEAST COLUMBUS RESIDENT RECIPIENT OF
2008 WILDLIFE DIVERSITY CONSERVATION AWARD
Robert C. Glotzhober is senior curator for natural history at the Ohio Historical Society
COLUMBUS, OH - Robert C. Glotzhober of Columbus received the Wildlife Diversity Conservation Award at last week's Wildlife Diversity Conference, sponsored by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
Glotzhober, senior curator for natural history at the Ohio Historical Society, is renown for his research and knowledge about dragonflies and damselflies. He is the seventh recipient of the award, which is given annually at the conference.
In presenting the award to Glotzhober, wildlife diversity coordinator and conference host Kendra Wecker shared the text of the plaque with the audience, acknowledging: "appreciation for(Glotzhober's) tireless dedication and efforts to enhance our knowledge and appreciation of Ohio's odonates and their habitats. Your commitment and keen powers of observation have inspired many to appreciate and enjoy dragonflies and damselflies."
"I was astonished to hear Kendra Wecker announce that I was the recipient. Needless to say, I am very pleased and honored," said Glotzhober.
