OHIO HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSES GO ON SALE FEBRUARY 15
Licenses available statewide at over 1,200 outlets
COLUMBUS, OH - Anglers and hunters can purchase their 2005-2006 fishing and hunting licenses beginning Tuesday, February 15 at vendor outlets across the state and over the Internet, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
Sportsmen and women can conveniently purchase any type of license or permit online at ohiodnr.com. Licenses are valid March 1, 2005 through February 28, 2006. Hunters, especially those gearing up for the popular spring wild turkey season, are reminded that licenses purchased now are also valid during the 2005 fall hunting season.
Resident hunting and fishing licenses cost $19 each and deer and turkey permits are $24 each. Youths age 15 and under and certain Ohio senior citizens are eligible for discounted licenses. A one-day Ohio fishing license costs $11, an amount that can later be applied to the purchase of an annual license.
