CELEBRATE THE NEW YEAR AT AN OHIO STATE PARK RESORT
Overnight packages include both meals and entertainment
COLUMBUS, OH - Ohio State Park resort lodges provide secluded getaway destinations for both families and couples on the long New Year’s weekend. Families can relax by a roaring fireplace, swim in a heated, indoor pool, enjoy meticulously prepared meals in a spacious dining room, and avoid the hustle of holiday traffic at any of nine resort lodges around the state. Again this year, all are offering “stay-and-play” packages that include lodging, meals and a variety of holiday festivities.
Burr Oak Resort and Conference Center (Morgan County) offers a one-night package featuring a New Year’s Eve dance with live music, champagne toast, snacks and party favors. One-night packages are $119 per couple in a standard room or $188 in a studio. Taxes are included.
Deer Creek Resort and Conference Center (Fayette and Pickaway counties) is again hosting A Family New Year’s Eve with a two-night package in a double room for $325, plus tax. The package includes dinner for two on New Year’s Eve followed by a party in the ballroom from 9 p.m. to midnight. Other festivities include a children’s New Year’s Eve party from 7 p.m. to midnight, a teen party from 8:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m., a family toast in the ballroom at 11:45 p.m., a breakfast buffet for two on Jan. 1 and a late check out. The same package for three nights is $395, plus tax.
Hueston Woods Resort and Conference Center (Butler and Preble counties) offers one night of lodging, dinner buffet for two, dance with cash bar, midnight champagne toast, breakfast buffet for two and $25 gift shop voucher. The package also includes a children’s party with DJ, snacks and arts and crafts. The package in a lakeview room is $277; standard room is $272. Taxes are included. Additional nights are $89.
Maumee Bay Resort and Conference Center (Lucas County) offers a one-night package for $205 per couple in a double room. The package includes dinner buffet for two, a brunch buffet for two, a New Year’s Eve dance and a $25 gift shop certificate. All taxes are included.
The Lodge and Conference Center at Geneva State Park (Ashtabula County) offers a New Year’s Eve overnight package for adults (no children, please) that includes lodging, dinner and open bar from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., dancing to a live band, breakfast for two on New Year’s Day morning and late check out. Prices start at $299 per couple. Dinner, dancing, and open bar only is $99 per person.
Mohican Resort and Conference Center (Ashland and Richland counties) offers a New Year’s Eve Package for two nights for $295 per couple in a double room, $315 per couple in a queen room and $325 per couple in a king room. Packages include a dinner buffet for two, a New Year’s Eve party in the ballroom from 9 p.m. to midnight, New Year’s Day brunch buffet for two, breakfast for two on either December 31 or Jan. 2, a welcome gift and football bowl games on a cinema screen in the ballroom. Taxes are included.
Punderson Manor Resort and Conference Center (Geauga County) offers a one-night package for $269, plus taxes. The package includes New Year’s Eve dinner buffet for two, a dance with DJ, champagne toast and party favors, cash bar, New Year’s Day brunch for two. A Friday night stay is $99 extra, plus tax. Sunday night is $59, plus tax.
Salt Fork Resort and Conference Center (Guernsey County) offers a one-night package for $299 per family in a double room, taxes included. Packages include dinner for two, one breakfast for two, a gift shop certificate, New Year’s Eve festivities for all ages.
Shawnee Resort and Conference Center (Scioto County) offers a one-night package that includes dinner for two, a New Year’s Eve dance, and breakfast for two on New Year’s Day. Cost of the package in a king-size room is $230, plus tax. The same package in a cottage is $255, plus tax.
