The 6,000-acre park offers a variety of winter activities and is just a short drive from sites such as the Longaberger Homestead and historic Dresden, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

Now through April, visitors can enjoy special rates when choosing to stay at a Dillon State Park cottage, including $45 a night for a two-bedroom cottage and $55 per night for a preferred two-bedroom cottage. The Muskingum County park offers nine miles of hiking trails. The park also features a sledding hill and an ice skating pond. Blackhand Gorge State Nature Preserve is nearby, with four miles of scenic, paved multi-use trails that offer spectacular views of the Black Hand sandstone.

The park’s 29, two-bedroom cottages feature all the amenities of home, including fully-equipped kitchen and a living room with cable television. Linens, towels, dishes and cookware are provided. Preferred cottages have a gas log fireplace, television with VCR, and a deck with a gas grill.
