COLUMBUS, OH -- Twelve solid waste management districts/authorities, counties and their cooperating businesses across Ohio will receive a total of $2.2 million in Recycling Market Development Grants from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention. The grants will help the cooperating companies increase the amount of recycled materials used in their manufacturing and processing operations.
"Recycling Market Development Grants help strengthen relationships between state and local governments and their recycling business partners," said ODNR Director Samuel W. Speck. "In turn, the partnerships help Ohio's economy by creating jobs and long-term markets for many of the materials collected by the state's local recycling programs."
Since 1994, the ODNR Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention has awarded more than $10.5 million in Market Development Grants to solid waste management districts/authorities, counties and their cooperating businesses across Ohio.
