COLUMBUS, OH - Spring cottage and lodge specials in Ohio State Parks can turn your wildflower viewing into a weekend or week-long event, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). State park cottages are stretching their late-winter specials into the spring. Save $10 to $20 off the regular nightly rate during the week and weekend through the end of March at Buck Creek, Lake Hope and Pymatuning state parks. Specials are offered through April at Cowan Lake, Dillon, Hocking Hills, Mohican and Pike Lake state parks.
Each Ohio State Park cottage is a completely furnished home away from home with all bedding and kitchen utensils provided, as well as color TVs and microwaves. Many also have gas fireplaces and other amenities.
Now through April, visitors can take advantage of the "Three-for-Two" promotion at most Ohio State Park resort lodges. Guests who pay the regular rate for two nights get the third night free at Burr Oak, Hueston Woods, Maumee Bay, Mohican, Punderson, Salt Fork, and Shawnee.
The resort lodge at Deer Creek State Park offers a Spring Break-A-Thon special, which provides discounts on lodge stays of two to five nights between April 1 and May 27.
