Annual refresher cover a variety of mine safety topics. The refresher classes meet all of MSHA's training requirements. Classes are recommended for mine employees and contractors who work on mine sites.

First Aid
This training heightens the awareness of the importance of proper treatment of injured workers. Procedures are discussed for providing basic treatment of injuries.

CPR / AED
Class includes instruction on the administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). The American Heart Association sanctions the class. Participants who successfully complete the session will obtain their AHA certification.

Mine Rescue
Regular training of company-sponsored Ohio Mine Rescue teams to respond to any underground mine emergency which may occur. Teams are an integral part of the national Mine Rescue network.

Foreman's Training
This training is provided to both new and veteran mine foremen to increase the awareness and knowledge of potentially hazardous conditions, and appropriate actions to correct them. Also, this class will assist candidates who are interested in taking the state foreman's certification test.
