The dam gate which is used to lower the lake water level this time each year is inoperable due to a broken stem.
COLUMBUS, OH The water level at Guilford Lake State Park will remain unchanged until necessary repairs are made to the dam, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Ohio State Parks.

The dam gate which is used to lower the lake water level this time each year is inoperable due to a broken stem. Plans to make repairs are underway and are expected to be resolved within two to four weeks.

The water level is lowered annually so that ice does not damage the permanent private docks on the lake.

The ODNR ensures a balance between wise use and protection of our natural resources for the benefit of all. Visit the ODNR Web site at www.ohiodnr.com.
