Lake Katharine State Nature Preserve in Jackson County will be closed to the public Monday, November 28 and Saturday, December 3 due to special controlled deer hunts.
JACKSON, OH — Lake Katharine State Nature Preserve in Jackson County will be closed to the public Monday, November 28 and Saturday, December 3 due to special controlled deer hunts according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Natural Areas and Preserves.
These hunts are being held in cooperation with ODNR’s Division of Wildlife. Special permits were awarded through a lottery drawing held earlier this fall. There are no more permits available at this time.
