Why: The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is presenting the City of Akron a ceremonial check for $173,186 from the Clean Ohio Trails Fund to help cultivate and support recreation in their local community. These funds will be used to acquire 2.9 acres of property and construct a trail linking the Towpath Trail at the Beech Street Trail Head to the historic Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Northside Train Station providing valuable recreational outlets for current residents and future generations.
