Columbus Resident Receives Employee Of The Year Honors From ODNR Division of Watercraft

COLUMBUS, OH – Monique Kirtley of north Columbus was recently named the 2007 Administrative Support Employee of the Year by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft.

Kirtley is a grant program coordinator in division’s Columbus headquarters. She was recognized for her outstanding service to Ohio boaters as well as her ODNR co-workers statewide.

The award is presented each year in memory of former division employee Ralph J. Hawse. It recognizes employees who provide excellent customer service in support of the division’s administrative functions.

A 21-year employee of ODNR and graduate of Columbus North High School, Kirtley first joined the agency as a data processor in the watercraft registration and titling section.

The ODNR Division of Watercraft administers Ohio’s recreational boating programs, including watercraft registration and titling services, and provides grants to local communities for enforcement, education and boating access facilities. Division programs are funded by a share of the state motor fuels tax, boating registration and titling fees and a grant from the U.S. Coast Guard.
