Christine Buisman Smoothleaf Elm - Ulmus carpinifolia 'Christine Buisman'
South Euclid (Cleveland Planted: 1959
Bayard Site: 12' Tree Lawn

1971 Comments:
All of the trees are upright, oval in habit and uniform in size and shape. This is a residential collector road with heavy traffic from vehicles and school children. The plants are growing quite well with no indication of disease.

1997 Comments:
None of these plants remain. They were removed about twenty years ago and replaced with crabapples and Callery Pears. This selection of Norway maple did worse than the others. Many people commented that they did not think they were trees. This may have had something to do with the reason these plants were removed.

Four percent of the overall planting survived (1 of 28 trees).
1997 data on the table are based on one tree.
