Crimean Linden - Tilia euchlora
Northwestern Wooster Planted: 1964
(Parking Lot) Site: 6' Tree Lawn

1971 Comments:
Trees are pyramidal, well established and consistent in size and shape. However, they may become too large for this narrow tree lot. Power lines are overhead and a problem may result as the trees get larger. The glossy foliage typical of this species is very attractive during the summer months.

1997 Comments:
These plants performed better on the other side of the street as the location is little more open. At the YMCA, there were quite a number of other trees that were providing competition for the lindens. Some sidewalks were cracked.

Sixty-nine percent of the overall planting survived (11 of 16 trees).
1997 data on the table are based on four trees.
