Goldenraintree - Koelreuteria paniculata
Toledo
Planted: 1963
655 Freeman
Site: 8' Tree Lawn

The trees are relatively globose in habit with considerable variations in size. The trees are located under power lines but, because of the height of the lines, they will probably not pose a problem. Because of the close setback of the houses adjacent to the tree lawn, the trees add to the landscape plantings of the homeowner's property.

These plants are in an 8' wide tree lawn and only one of the original plants remains. Seedlings of this plant are highly variable with respect to cold-hardness. This may account for the low survival rate.

Twenty percent of the overall planting survived (1 of 5 trees).
1997 data on the table are based on 1 tree.
