The Marietta State Nursery has closed for business.

Seedling Sales:

General sales will not take place this year. Please visit the US Forest Service Native Plant Materials Database to locate a nursery near you or contact your local Soil & Water Conservation District.

Equipment Liquidation:

The Division of Forestry is required to liquidate all equipment through the firm which holds the auction services contract for the State of Ohio. Division staff cannot sell assets directly to buyers.

A variety of equipment is to be sold through online auctions starting late-January 2009. Auctions are posted at the Asset Auctions website under the Government Auctions section. In compliance with Ohio Revised Code, auctions are open for seven days to state agencies, then to Ohio political subdivisions for seven day, then to the general public. User access for bidding on State of Ohio auctions is handled through Asset Auctions and there is a link on their main page to apply for access.

Items not sold online, will be included in an onsite auction to be held in the summer of 2009.

A full list of all items to be sold will be posted on this webpage by the first of the year. Click here for examples of some of the equipment that will be auctioned. Interested parties can request to be notified in advance of the auction dates and item details.

Seedling Liquidation:

Seedlings will be sold as a lot in the spring of 2009. The Division will release a Request for Proposals, which will provide interested buyers the opportunity to make offers on the inventory. Check our website in the coming weeks for further details.
