Eight Ohio State Park resort lodges offer special guest rooms with wider doorways and restrooms designed to accommodate wheelchairs. In some of the lodges, the accessible rooms are located on the ground floor, and in others, an elevator provides access to the guest rooms as well as other lodge facilities including the dining rooms and indoor pools.

The state park lodges with elevators and accessible guest rooms include Maumee Bay in northwest Ohio, Hueston Woods in southwest Ohio, Deer Creek in central Ohio and Salt Fork and Shawnee in southeast Ohio. The elevator at Punderson Manor in northeast Ohio provides access to meeting rooms as well as the accessible indoor swimming pool. Maumee Bay and Salt Fork also offer accessible indoor pools in addition to accessible whirlpools.

The family vacation cottages at Ohio State Parks offer similar floor plans including a kitchen with full sized appliances, dining area, spacious living room, two bedrooms with twin, bunk or full sized beds, a bathroom with shower, and a roomy screened porch.

Dillon and Lake Hope in southeast Ohio and Buck Creek in southwest Ohio offer a limited number of accessible cottages with special features throughout, including modified kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures.

Two of the Deluxe Cedar Cabins at Geneva in northeast Ohio offer accessible features. Select cottages at the resort parks, including Deer Creek, Hueston Woods, Shawnee and Maumee Bay, along with Burr Oak in southeast Ohio, have been modified for accessibility, with wider entrances along with kitchen and restroom facilities with appliances and fixtures that are convenient for persons using a wheelchair.

Some of the cottages at Salt Fork, Punderson and Deer Creek have ramps for easier entry, but do not offer accessible features inside.

The numbers of accessible lodge and cottage units are limited, and the accessible features they offer may vary.
