The 240-page Ohio Coastal Atlas Second Edition was developed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Office of Coastal Management to provide coastal decision-makers, land management professionals, engineers, educators, interest groups and the general public with information about Lake Erie and its watershed. It is illustrated and explained with maps, text, figures and photographs featuring geographic resource data for the Lake Erie region's cultural, physical, biological and natural phenomena. The printed atlas features information on many topics, including, but not limited to: coastal management and the Great Lakes; the Lake Erie Watershed; land use and protected lands; outdoor recreation and Lake Erie public access; lake science and habitat, including eco-regions, invasive species, rare species concentrations, wetlands and avian and aquatic habitat; physical landscape features, including soils, ground water resources and geology; coastal processes and engineering, including coastal erosion and sand transport, and; ports and harbors.
