In this fall event, volunteers will participate in the annual Lake Erie Coastweeks cleanup program which is organized state-wide by the Ohio Lake Erie Commission. The program runs from September 1 to early October. Volunteers will be recruited to clean Mentor Beach Park, Headlands Beach State Park, and the entire stretch of beach plus the park reserve at the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve including key spots around the marina. Each location may be done on two to three occasions over the six week period.

In this spring event, volunteers will be recruited to clean Mentor Beach Park and a section of the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve beach. Each location will be cleaned on two to three occasions during the “Keep Mentor Beautiful” program that runs from April 1 to May 31. It is part of the “The Great American Clean-Up” program which lasts from March 1 to May 31.
