The Ohio Coastal Management Program (OCMP) integrates management of Ohio's Lake Erie coast in order to preserve, protect, develop, restore and enhance the state's valuable and sometimes vulnerable coastal resources. The Program is networked with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources serving as the lead agency.
The Program received federal approval on May 16, 1997. The Ohio Coastal Management Program Document has been updated several times since then to reflect changes in Ohio Revised and Administrative codes, and organizational changes. The document was most recently updated and federal re-approved in April 2007. Of the 41 policies in the Ohio Coastal Management Program, all or portions of 30 policies are enforceable; 11 polices are enhancement policies. In the list below, enforceable policies are denoted in red.
