Ohio Results


Ohio students competed very well in the 2012 National Archery in the Schools national tournament held in Louisville, Kentucky.

Tyler Finley with first place high school male award           Megan Besecker winning fifth place
Tyler Finley, a 9th grade Maysville High School student, scored 298 out of 300 to place first in the High School Male division and overall. Megan Besecker from Troy High School took fifth place honors in the female division scoring a 289 out of a possible 300.
The second place Maysville High School team The third place Logan High School team
Maysville High School placed second in the High School team division. Logan Hocking High School's strong showing earned them a third place award in the High School team division.

Not pictured is Anna Ezell from Bluffsview Elementary in Worthington who placed second place in the Fifth Grade division. Also, the event drew 7,804 student participants, a new world record for an archery tournament as determined by the Guinness Book of World Records.
