CHANGE TO MARION COUNTY DEER CHECK STATIONS
Stan’s Sporting Goods not checking deer this year
COLUMBUS, OH – Stan’s Sporting Goods in Marion will not be checking in deer during the 2007-2008 deer hunting season, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
Hunters may still check their harvested deer at the following Marion County check stations: Lynch’s Cash & Carry in LaRue or Al’s Country Market in Marion.
This year's statewide deer archery season remains open from September 29 through February 3, including the week of deer-gun season November 26 through December 2. Deer-gun hunters will also be able to enjoy an additional weekend of hunting December 15 and 16. All deer harvested must be taken to a check station in the county of harvest or an adjacent county.
