DIVISION OF WILDLIFE TO HOST PROJECT WILD
WORKSHOP AT THE AKRON ZOO
FREE workshop to be held December 13th, 2007

AKRON, OH – The Akron Zoo opens its doors to both formal and non-formal educators for a free Project WILD workshop on Thursday, December 13th. Teachers, youth group leaders, naturalists, and others will find this workshop both exciting and informative.

A fun and educational day is planned, packed with activities and lessons that educators can use in their classrooms and/or programs.  These activities and lessons are also correlated to Ohio’s academic content standards.

Project WILD guides, Aquatic WILD guides and other related information will be distributed and there is no fee. The workshop is scheduled from 9:00am-3:00pm.

This popular, international wildlife education program combines conservation and environmental education focusing on wildlife. The curriculum is designed for classrooms of all grade levels, youth groups, nature centers, and other educational outlets.
