Findlay, OH – Brent Allan, 23, of Toledo, Ohio has been assigned as the new Hancock County Wildlife Officer, according to the ODNR Division of Wildlife. Former Hancock County Wildlife Officer Kevin Russell was promoted to Wildlife Officer Supervisor in December.

The League of Ohio Sportsmen, Ducks Unlimited and Lake Erie Waterfowlers will be holding a Waterfowl Symposium on March 26, 2011 beginning at 9:00AM. OAK HARBOR, OH - A pair of bald eagles have built a nest behind the Sportsmen’s Migratory Bird Center at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area. To protect the birds and the nest, one loop of the Walking Trail will be closed beginning February 1, 2011 until further notice.

FINDLAY, OH – A Crawford County man was found guilty on one count of possessing an endangered species and a second count of deterring an officer, both first degree misdemeanors.  David D. Duncan, 53, of Crestline changed his plea of Not Guilty to No Contest on both charges during a pre-trial hearing on Tuesday August 31, 2010 in the Crawford County Municipal Court.  Duncan received total fines of $1,500 plus court costs and was placed on probation for a period of three years.
