FINDLAY, OH - The Sportsmen’s Migratory Bird Center (SMBC) located at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area has been reopened according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. The facility had been closed to the public since March due to a water leak on the second floor.

COLUMBUS, OH – George R. Klein of Akron was appointed by Gov. John Kasich to a four-year term on the Ohio Wildlife Council, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. Klein will serve on the council until 2016.

COLUMBUS, OH - Ohio hunters harvested a preliminary total of 2,227 bearded wild turkeys on the first day of the spring turkey-hunting season, which is open statewide through May 20, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. In 2011, a preliminary total of 2,646 wild turkeys were killed on opening day.
