MILLERSBURG, OH  - Are you a landowner, a deer hunter or a wildlife professional? If so, plan to attend the “Farmer and Hunter Quality Deer Management Cooperative Shortcourse” on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at West Holmes High School in Millersburg. According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), this course will provide proven and recommended techniques and plans for farmers, hunters and others who wish to reduce deer crop damage, balance sex ratios and improve landowner-hunter relationships.

MARION, OH  – Two La Rue men pled guilty to six wildlife violations in Marion County Court and were ordered to pay $12, 845.71 in restitution, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.

A free workshop is available on Thursday, August 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will take place at Wildlife District Three, 912 Portage Lakes Drive, Akron.

The WILD School Site was dedicated during a graduation ceremony for students where students’ families as well as school staff were present.

FINDLAY, OH – Cody Klima, 23, was recently named as the new wildlife officer assigned to Lucas County, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. Wildlife Officer Klima’s new assignment follows the promotion of former Lucas County Wildlife Officer Kevin Newsome.  Officer Newsome was promoted to Law Enforcement Unit B Supervisor, which includes Lucas County.
