Lace up your boots and grab a walking stick - it's time to get out and hike one of Ohio's many trails! Hiking is a fun activity to share with family and friends that also provides a great aerobic, calorie burning benefit. And, other than a good pair of shoes or boots, hiking doesn't require any special equipment.

Hiking opportunities abound in the Buckeye State where the trails offer something for everyone at every skill level.

Some paths will gently lead you past amazing geologic formations or to watchable wildlife areas, while other scenic trails are a little more challenging and really get the blood pumping.

Just imagine following a stream and listening to the soothing sounds of rushing water or walking beneath a cool canopy of leafy green trees. Have you pictured yourself there? Now stop imagining and hit the trail!
