What To Look For
The dominant feature of this 6-acre park is a 600-foot pier that extends into Lake Erie. As the pier rises 20 feet above the lake's surface, it is an excellent spot for scanning for waterbirds. There is also a 300-foot long sand beach just east of the pier.
Spring, fall, and winter—as long as Lake Erie is ice-free—are the most productive birding seasons. Tremendous flights of Common Loons and Red-breasted Mergansers can occur in late fall and early winter. All three species of scoters are possible, along with nearly all of the other regular diving ducks.
Bradstreet's Landing can be a good spring hawk-watch site, especially in March and April. Kettles of Broad-winged Hawks are possible, along with good flights of Red-shouldered and Red-tailed hawks. Smaller numbers of most of the regularly occurring Ohio raptors are possible as well.

Noteworthy Rarities
Seven Cave Swallows appeared at Bradstreet's Landing on November 9th, 2008, and they lingered long enough to be seen by numerous observers. One of them spent the evening in a niche in the pier, and was seen by a few observers the following morning. Red-throated Loon and Pomarine Jaeger have also been seen.

Nearby Lake Access Sites
Cahoon Memorial Park. This 116-acre park, in whole mostly mowed grass with scattered trees, does offer nearly ½ mile of Lake Erie access and can be a good lake-watch site. It is adjacent to Huntington Reservation, a Cleveland Metropark. Cahoon Park is located about 1½ miles west of Bradstreet's Landing, along Lake Road (U.S. 6) at the junction of Cahoon Road, in Bay Village, Cuyahoga County.
Columbia Park. Located about one mile west of Bradstreet's Landing, this 1.6-acre park is owned by Bay Village, and features a steep 40-foot tall shale cliff. Viewing platforms offer good vistas of Lake Erie, and a 67-step staircase descends to a small beach. The park is on the north side of Lake Road (U.S. 6) at the junction of Columbia Road (State Route 252), Bay Village, Cuyahoga County.
