Annual Birding Events

  • Biggest Week in American Birding, Beginning of May during peak warbler migration: Centered around the marshes of western Lake Erie and hosted by the Black Swamp Bird Observatory
  • Christmas Bird Counts. Numerous counts take place along Lake Erie, from mid-December to early January each year.
