The 2009 Community Development, Market Development, and Scrap Tire Grants are Now Available


This competitive grant funding is targeted at Ohio’s local governments and private sector businesses for a variety of recycling, litter clean up and scrap tire management projects.  An informational meeting to answer questions about the grant programs is scheduled for December 3, 2008 at 10:00 AM (Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Assembly Center-Building E, 1st Floor, 2045 Morse Road, Columbus, OH  43229).  Pre-registration is not required nor accepted.

The 2009 Litter Cleanup Grant application package is now available.


The Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention’s competitive grant funding is targeted at Ohio counties, municipal corporations, townships, villages, solid waste management districts or authorities, Keep Ohio Beautiful affiliates, and any agencies of the state as defined in Chapter 119 of the Ohio Revised Code to implement litter cleanup projects.

The Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention is responsible for implementing statewide waste reduction, recycling, recycling market development and litter prevention programs. The division encourages Ohioans to reduce waste, recycle materials and buy recycled-content products.
