Ohio's Sandhill Cranes

The migration patterns of Ohio’s breeding population of sandhill cranes are being studied by the Ohio Division of Wildlife. In particular, wildlife biologists want to know where the cranes are passing through Kentucky and Tennessee and how long they stay in those states.

To answer these questions staff from the Crane Creek Wildlife Research Station caught and radio-marked sandhill cranes between June and August 2010. They focused at:
