Induction Ceremony
Induction into the Forest of Honor occurs in mid-October, taking advantage of the area’s fall color. Invitees include the honorees, their family and guests, previous honorees, selected constituents, and appropriate DOF staff. A tree is planted for each inductee. Following the ceremony, attendees are invited on a guided wagon tour of Zaleski State Forest where management activities are explained and fall color enjoyed. The tour concludes with a luncheon for the honorees and guests.
