The nearly 10-acre Catawba Island State Park is a day-use park primarily used for Lake Erie fishing access. The park is located on the west side of the Catawba Island peninsula on East Moore’s Dock Road which is west off of NW Catawba Road.

The park features a large fishing pier, a three-lane public boat ramp, 120 car-trailer parking slips and car-only parking, picnic and restroom facilities, and a playground. A 400-foot smooth cobble beach stretches northwest from the fishing pier. The beach has an increasing amount of white sand from finely crushed zebra and quagga mussel shells. Swimming is permitted at one’s own risk.

A historic boundary marker denoting the northwest corner of the Connecticut Western Reserve is on site. The Connecticut Western Reserve was an area of the Northwest Territory stretching from the current Ohio-Pennsylvania border west to the modern-day western boundary of Huron and Erie counties and extending north into Ottawa County. The state of Connecticut owned the Western Reserve, selling and distributing the land after the Revolutionary War.		 Location Map:
